Ignition's position on a Cessna 208b during engine start?

On a Cessna 208b, can I start engine(motor the engine using starter) with ignition swtich at on position?(rather than at NORM position). And what will happen?i've read the AFM ,it doesn't mention it.
Thanks!

Maybe there are different versions of the AFM, but this one here:
http://www.redskyventures.org/doc/ce...ed-to-2004.pdf
explains how the ignition system is supposed to work. See chapter 7, "Ignition System". It does not directly answer your question but will provide you with enough information to find the answer.

i think the answer is yes ,but AFM doesn't recommend that. :)

Just out of interest, why do you want to do that?
