Subscriptions for Europe Corporate jets' operations
Hello all. i'm new here in this forum and also new to the corporates world...
I'm ex-military pilot with commercial licenses in USA and my home country and recently finished a Citation SII type rating in the states. I have about 2-3 months to prepare everything for the ferry of the aircraft i will fly and was making a list of subscriptions i need. We will be based in the middle east and fly mostly to Europe but might also visit the far east, Russia and South africa infrequently. I would really appreciate you guys weighting in with additions or comments on the following list, especially if there vital things missing or redundant things to remove, or any tips on getting good deals on those... so here goes: 1. Jepessen - hard copies and iPad's. are there any alternatives? 2. FMS database 3. Eurocontrol 4. AFM subscription (for managing phase checks and other technical maintenance) 5. CAMP 6. SAT phone 7. General fuel card and credit card tips and tricks 8. Apps, excel sheets, accounts or any computerized tool to help managing operations thank you in advance looking forward to be more and more active on this very forum in the near future |

What you are asking for is someone to give you a consultancy task for free. Find yourself a reputable consultant and pay him or her good money adn you will get the answers and information you are seeking. It will be in an accountable and professional project document. Please do not ask for this for free. MM |
PIXIP,
Ask away... Not everyone thinks it a big deal to ask general questions. This stuff is not rocket science, but never fool yourself into thinking that the advice on this forum is inclusive or necessarily correct.. My one piece of advice is... Don't for get to set up your ETS account (you will need to find out who your administrating country is). Keep an accurate count of the number of pax on every leg (we store this on our flight logs and in BART, you will be required to report this and pay your "TAX" Good luck and safe travels J |
4. AFM subscription (for managing phase checks and other technical maintenance) 5. CAMP IMHO you are obliged to have AFM and Checklist revisions in order to have the current docs on board. Wether there will be many changes to an old bird such as the SII is another question. Still sometimes if you get a ramp check, the inspectors will know what is the current issue and crosscheck that. BTW, I think youŽll have fun in the sun if "your" SII aircon and heating is as bad as the one was that I once flew... |
what reg are you operating on? You might need to be part NCC compliant which isnt a big deal but a pain in the arse if you haven't done it when someone asks..

Ohh and a very loooong runway in summer ;) Reminds me of the smart decision of a Doha based operator to fly Premier1s out of there.. It worked as long as they had no pax on board.

Don't worry about Eurocontrol, they will ''find'' you. Idem for ARINC, who will send you a bill for your Atlantic crossing.

Hello guys. first of all sorry it took me too long to answer and bumping this thread up now. the reason for doing that is embarrassingly simple - email notifications ended up in the spam folder... but i'd like to thank each and every one of you for the time taken to answer.

Keep an accurate count of the number of pax on every leg (we store this on our flight logs and in BART, you will be required to report this and pay your "TAX" If you mean AFM as in Airplane Flight Manual, then youŽll not find any mx info in there - CAMP is a good one to have for this. YouŽll see the relevant AMM pages in CAMP. IMHO you are obliged to have AFM and Checklist revisions in order to have the current docs on board. Who in his right mind would fly that thing on those routes... That requires a Citation X or bigger..
