PA-24 crash in US. Dud photos

Daily telegraph reported Pa-24 crash in US today. Young girl only survivor. Initially put up a photo of a PA-28. I corrected it with a link to a web photo of a PA-34. DT Have now changed their photo to show the wrecked nose of a military fighter? Anyone know what aircraft the DT have now found? See:

Should read 34. Finger trouble - sorry

I saw some pics today and it totally looked like a Seneca to me, hence a PA-34.

Yes, a PA-34.

ATC reports he suffered an engine failure, was offered bearing to the nearest airport. but was unable to reach it.

Crash location is the small town of Kuttawa, KY. - approx. 37.05,-88.13 - at the north end of Lake Barkley.

just remember light twin drivers...either be sharp, or fly singles.

lose an engine and your are flying a crippled plane, get even close to Vmca and you will die. if you go below Vmca, or otherwise lose directional control, you MUST reduce power on the good engine and lower the nose and regain speed and THEN and only THEN can you add more power from the good engine.

Be especially alert inthe enroute and descent phase. We spend so much time at the moment of takeoff engine failure practice that we rarely examine the time enroute or in descent.

very sorry to hear bout this tragedy.
