Dassault Falcon 7x

Can anyone help me determine some realistic flight planning data for a 12 seat Falcon 7X departure from Bucharest destination Macau with standard IFR reserves at MTOW.

Pleasae provide typical realistic flight levels that can be attained on winter season like now as well as summer season winds.

How close are these approximate figures?
MTOW 28.9t
CRZ SPEED M0.81
FL 470
DISTANCE 4713 NM (MAX RANGE 5700 NM)
ESTIMATED FUEL BURN 20.5T

ETE 12:30

Many thanks

Would this be for a humanitarian or commercial flight ?

ESTIMATED FUEL BURN 29T
29T ????!!!

29T is hard to believe when the max fuel load is 14.5T. Try again.

estimated fuel burn

Sorry I miscopied. 20 Are you sure max fuel is 14t? not 29t. MTOW was 28.9t we are talikking about the 7x and not the other Dassaults aren't we?

SFI145 21st Nov 2014 05:44

Max fuel at density 0.83 is 14488 kg

deefer dog 21st Nov 2014 10:40

...and as for FL 470 and with 12 pax seat filled - you might get there eventually, but only just before you get to TOD!

galaxy flyer 21st Nov 2014 12:39

Just look at the Dassault website, it's all there. Yes, F470 is probably only at the last hour.

7X MTOW is 70000lb so 31300kg.
How can you imagine it can carry 29t of fuel ?!

Max fuel weight is 14490kg.

Kak Klaxon 21st Nov 2014 15:50

But 29000 lbs sounds about the right fuel burn for that sector length .

Trackdiamond 21st Nov 2014 16:45

how can I imagine thebfuel burn will be 29t

Before you harangue me for my imagination I suggest use your eyes to read my post and the correction to this figure.29t was MTOW and est burn 20t.Its not my imagination that I derived that figure.I got it from Microsoft flight sim.It uis why am here to get a more realistic figure fron those that have access to a proper flight planning system or who have operated the 7x.Have you sir?

You edited your first post !
I quoted you on my first post.
Wow you got it from Fligh Simulator ?! My mistake, you are right then, the FA7X can carry 20t (or 29t like you wrote in your first post).:ugh:

Microsoft flight sim data

Rather than being sarcastic why don't you contribute something more intelligable Lima Oscar? Aircraft data for the add is accurate enpugh as they use AFM.Microsoft Sim Dlt Planning Data is npt exactly rubbish as you would like us to believe.I fly real planes but have used MS for play as well as analysis for over a decade.I won't trash it like you did.If you are unable to make a contribution I advise you stay away and or I will report you.

While I can't help you with your specific question about the 7X I can say that after reading and participating on this site for several years it's clear there are quite a few frustrated wannabes who would rather mock you than try to be helpful.

Karma is a glorious thing. They might learn before it's too late for them....but they might not.

Remember the old mantra...be nice to the people while on your way up because you will likely see them again when on your way down.

Uhm, if max. fuel on the real aircraft is 14t, and your MS add-on is 'accurate enough' by displaying a quantity of 20t, I think that speaks for itself. You don't enhance that perception, when you don't seem to understand the problem with a 29t MTOW and a 20t fuel weight. Have you considered what the aircraft weighs without volatiles? Or what the weight of 4 crew members, 12 passengers and their sustenance comes out at?

EMB170 23rd Nov 2014 08:14

Anybody thought about it, tons (kg) and pound are getting mixed up ??
20000lb is about 9100kg or 9.1 tons.
I don't fly the 7X , but does that sound reasonable?

DOCTOR BOMBAY 23rd Nov 2014 09:58

Hi, I is fly the 7x we work on lbs, so 70000lbs is your MTOW at that weight you will climb to 37000 be their for three hours at LRC 10PAX good for a flight of 5700 nm with 80 min holding:ok: finishing at FL430, I hope that helps, with take off fuel of of 31000LBS.

Booglebox 23rd Nov 2014 10:49

Hi Trackdiamond, I ran a plan using our 7X, which is a 14 pax model, at M0.81.
As doctor bombay says, the MTOW is 70000lbs and the fuel on board is the maximum 30700lbs.
Flight time 9:20, airways distance 4750NM.
Initial FL350, then climbing after an hour to FL370, then FL390, then 1.5 hours to FL410, then FL450 about 3 hours before arrival.
Total fuel burn 24400lbs, and fuel remaining on arrival is 6100lbs.

Not sure about the weights you gave as there seems to be some confusion, but your ETE in particular is way off (by 3 hours). Airways distance is about right. You might be able to get to FL470 for the last couple of hours but the "average" flight level is FL410.

The route looks like this:

Obviously the route hasn't been checked for permissions etc. and alternatives are quite scarce in western China, so even with e.g. 120min at 440kts you might have to add some ADD EROPS fuel. (luckily you have plenty spare)

Hope this helps! :8
