Embraer 135/145 TR - where

Dear all,
Does anyone have experience or suggestion on where to do the type rating on Embraer 135/145, both FAA and JAA options are interesting.
I did the google search but no personal experience there...
Thank you very much.

FSI STL pretty good at both authorities.

Good luck,

Once when we needed it, we decided to go with Swiss Aviation training, schedules were flexible and price 30% less than FSI. But it's EASA only, i guess.

Thank you very much.
FSI is not answering and Swiss does not serve individuals....

CAE Burgess Hill

We got an email from CAE explaining there will be an EMB145/Legacy 600 Simulator beginning operation in October. Taking provisional bookings for then, pending the sim evaluation and qualification.

CAE Dallas also has a sim that has moved down from Phoenix and recently up and running. I know that they do ratings under FAA, Aussie, UAE, Chinese authorities etc. Not sure about EASA.

FSI has sims in Paris and a Legacy sim in St Louis. They can perform both EASA and FAA qualifications. The thing with FSI is it is quite costly unless you sign up for a contract option. I.e an initial followed by 1 or 2 recurrent training events.

Swiss can give EASA only. I believe the Air Baltic option is actually conducted at the Swiss facility using Swiss instructors. Also costly for 1 pilot, however I believe if you have 2 pilots on a course the cost for 1 course is split between the 2 pilots. It's that way for recurrent training anyway.

For a 1 off type rating, I think CAE is the best option cost wise.

Cheers
