Ferry flight on Expired PIC/IR certificate ?!?!
I was just asked to ferry a Hawker800 as co-plilot, transatlantic to Europe this week, where I am based .
I hold a current JAR ATPL and 1st class medical, but my PIC and IR rating for the Hawker125 lapsed 40 days ago. Hawker has min requirement of two crew , nothing specific on the second pilot min requirements... Can I accept to do this flight as co-pilot (total of 13500hrs, 1200 on type..800 as PIC, and 4 transatlantic ferries, ...last flight on Hawker800 was exactly 1 year ago) Any thoughts appreciated :) |
You should be current.

What register is the aircraft on?
I don't see how you can if you have a JAA licence and the type rating is expired. It's a multi crew aircraft therefore requires the requisite crew. Out of interest what makes you think you can do it, maybe I'm missing something. |
You are not current...you cannot do it under EASA.
If you were FAA, and met the 90 day currency I believe you could fly as SIC with a rating that was not current. |
Deefer Dog is correct
OK if aircraft is N and you have FAA licence, but not OK if aircraft is EASA or you have EASA licence.
