in french.. http://www.dircam.air.defense.gouv.f...mbery_lflb.pdf charts : https://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv..._AD-2.LFLB.pdf Text : https://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv..._AD-2.LFLB.pdf Please note the following limitations : Commander training and proficiency Before using CHAMBERY airport, every flight commander shall receive specific training set by the operator. This training will include : - operator instruction theoretical training ; - practical training with relevant aircraft or simulator device, including flight procedure intended to be used by the operator. Case 1: training with a simulator device having CHAMBERY additional capabilities, or in-flight training at CHAMBERY: all procedure intended to be used by the operator and done in this training are allowed. In flight training at CHAMBERY must be completed with visibility 5000 m and ceiling 3500 ft minimum. Case 2 : training with another simulator device : published minima for runway 18 approach and runway 36 departure may be applied. Circle to land with prescribed flight tracks for runway 36 is allowed by day only with visibility 5000 m and ceiling 3500 ft minimum. Take-off from runway 18 is forbidden. Case 3 : failure to comply with practical training : day-only operation with visibility 5000 m and ceiling 3500 ft minimum are allowed. Take-off from runway 18 is forbidden. Proficiency of theoretical and practical training is valid as long as commander flew at CHAMBERY as commander of an equivalent characteristics aircraft in the past 12 months. Translation : either you have a training department and you go to the simulator accordingly, or you don't and you have to follow what FSI or CAE gives you... |
Also: how many pax seats does your aircraft have? If less 10 or less it should be easier.
"SPECIFIC OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Due to the special characteristics of CHAMBERY airport surroundings, use of this airport is bound by specific rules: -general aviation flights with aircraft having a maximum passenger seating capacity of 10 and above, crew seats excepted: comply with article 1 below; -general aviation flights with aircraft having a maximum passenger seating capacity of 20 and above, crew seats excepted: comply with articles 1, 2 and 3 below; - commercial flights: comply with articles 1, 2 and 3 below. " In case of any doubt, I'd suggest to contact the relevant authority and ask for guidance: ta.dsac-ce at aviation-civile.gouv.fr |
I went in there last year with someone who went through the training so I have recent experience. Does that qualify me to sign as PIC going in there again, or do I still need to go through the training? A potential trip for tomorrow has just come up so time is a bit of an essence. Couldn't find anything online regarding actual operational experience being a qualifier. I guess a call to the authorities is the next step.

I've just asked them if i need to submit a "new" program and this is the answer:
"Dear Imri, No, you don't need to submit us a new program. Actually, the AIP must be revised soon to withdrew any requirements for an application. So you will don't need to submit us anything." ;) |
