Anyone know where this is...???

...Evening all,
As Captain Cooke can't work out how to post a photo here:p he has asked me to do it for him.
Does anyone know where it is? (not my photo BTW)

Not totally confident but looks not too dissimilar to Walkers Key in the Bahamas, waiting to be corrected

Thanks...but does not look good, there is a Walkers Cay, but thats not it.
cheers

photoshop?

The shadows in the airfield are of a much lower sun angle compared to the resort hotel.

The aircraft is lit from the left. the shadow is to the right....wrong side for the ground shadows.....

Also suspect rather tooooo short for the aircraft too.....

oh very photoshop...the 5x has not flown yet! could be a "fake" island

ksjc 17th Nov 2013 17:48

I suggest it's not even a real island. Clever CGI perhaps...and I'm not talking about the plane. Runway with faint precision markings awfully short and with trees at both ends? Why so many taxiways? I'm sure the 5X will be a nice machine but c'mon...perhaps it's just a fly past to announce that they have arrived. "Boss...de plane, de plane!!"

Steak&Kidney_Pie 17th Nov 2013 22:35

Genius mate! Tell him its too short....lets just fill her up and fly home....

PURPLE PITOT 18th Nov 2013 08:15

It's Tracy island, no need for runways!:ok:

Pucka 18th Nov 2013 10:34

Possibly one of the Fiji Islands..just about long enough for a 650!

cambioso 18th Nov 2013 11:00

Sorry I'm late on the thread Guys!
Thanks for posting Damien.
Yes, I think I agree that it's a "Photo-shop Island".
Boss saw it in the brochure and wanted to know where it was.............
I'll tell him it's Tracy Island then.........Brilliant!
Of course, if somebody DOES know where it is that would be great.
Thanks (as always) Guys,
Jez

Actually it looks a bit like Gan (maldives), but with the domestic poohole bit to the right removed.

F.A.B:ok:

Kak Klaxon 18th Nov 2013 18:20

It's not Tracy Island, its Canvey Island, put it in Googlie Earth. F.A.B, Spectrum is green.

enicalyth 18th Nov 2013 19:47

Gan?

Definitely not Gan.

cambioso 18th Nov 2013 20:02

No it's not Gan (we were there this New Year!).
What do you reckon of the idea that it's a real island with a runway photo-shoped onto it maybe??
Would still love to know the island though.........................

onetrack 19th Nov 2013 09:48

It's Daydream Island, reversed and Photoshopped with a fake airstrip.

Daydream is up for sale - if any of you have a lazy 75M quid laying around. :)

long final 19th Nov 2013 14:19

Walney Island, Barrow in Furness. :suspect::sad::E

Kak Klaxon 19th Nov 2013 14:36

Apart from the giant windsock I would say the runway is real, although maybe shortened to fit, where is it??

cambioso 19th Nov 2013 17:51
