UK Bizjet Broker Recommendation

Hi
I need to do some mid length hops in Europe (such as between London and Scandinavia), 1pax only so light and cheap is fine. I need to supplement my fractional share. Does anyone have a broker they would recommend?

No.

But insist that whatever broker you choose contracts only companies that employ permanently contracted pilots (no freelancers) with proper rostas (ie no permanent 24/7 standby companies) and who pay for all safety training for their pilots (ie a company that pays for type-ratings, ditching ratings etc).

If you choose whichever broker offers you the cheapest deal, you will be flown by knackered pilots who are financially strapped and will take stupid risks.

What a ridiculous, unfounded load of nonsense.

What a ridiculous, unfounded load of nonsense.
I speak from experience - I used to fly as an FO for such a company. Pilots were all freelance, and had no work contracts. The captains used to take ridiculous risks because if they had to divert, or abort a flight, they would not get called back. One captain once did a "visual" approach in IMC conditions because he did not have enough fuel on board to do the lengthy IFR approach. Another refused de-icing because it would cause the flight to operate at a loss. We were on permanent 24/7 standby, so inevitably sometimes would turn out to fly having had virtually no sleep. Luckily I found another job, but the company are still operating under exactly the same conditions.

I stand by what I said - if buying a business jet ride make sure that the broker only uses operators who employ full-time pilots on duty rostas. It will cost more - but safety costs money.
