Airspace near Cranfield

Any Airspace experts out there? The day after I bought my shiny new half mil chart, I saw on Sky Demon that there seemed to be a couple of slivers of airspace either side of Cranfield relating to L10 and N601 which had lowered.
This was significant for Gliders out of Dunstable which could be limited to 5500ft instead of 7500ft. Probably not a big problem for me, but could be for the better guys on cross country.
There was a notam in relation to L10 which gave a clue, but you would need to be a pretty keen GA pilot to spot that it affected your half mil chart.
The net effect was that the new chart was out of date before it even hit the streets.
Does anyone know any background on this?
The benefit to the airway system looks marginal, whilst it is yet more confusion for GA and glider people.
I have avoided all the detail at this stage because it is pretty heavy going, but maybe somebody knows the story from a different perspective?

Missing class A airspace

I reported the segments which are missing from the chart to the chart amendment service. I hope they will be on the next edition.
