Ferry needed

Hey folks,

I tried to ferry my 2007 Cirrus SR22 Turbo from the US over the atlantic to Belgium last week. But the weather was simply not good enough for me. So I decided to fly to Halifax Intl., park the plane there and take a direct service from Halifx to Frankfurt to get back to work.

Anyone interested in bringing this beauty to Belgium?

Maybe I can help, if you refer to the post before yours it would seem that it has been done.

HH53,

You might gain more credibility as a ferry pilot / business man if you considered a contract mobile phone or a land line rather than a Lebara PAYG mobile, A free sim and an anonymous untraceable mobile does not install confidence in a business arangement.

A Google search shows you needing some help this week with your move - good luck with finding that help on Gumtree

I rest my case

If you were a real customer you would have called with your details and we could have both established our credibility!:bored:

Your reply is very strange - you posted your offer AFTER someone had said the work had been sorted. I simply commented about your mobile and the Gumtree advert,

People are very cautious about the ferry industry after the problems experienced from one particular person. I take it that you are aware of the "Ferry Bad Experience" thread?

Its not beyond the realms of possibility that Mr Weaver would coNsider the use of a PAYG mobile with a free sim to illicit business and to try to slip below the radar caused by the adverse publicity that he has received. Who knows - maybe even use someone elses name or even use someone else to try to get work.

This might not be the case with you but who knows? If you had not posted your comment then maybe less suspicion would be due. However your comment is VERY strange.

Perhaps comprehension is not your strongest skill - the flight has been sorted, and I'm not the customer.

Tut tut, surely not!

Sadly the ferrying business has taken a hammering as a result of Weavers alledged activities and everyone (quite rightly when you consider what's at stake) is cautious about employing anyone unless they themselves have had first hand experience of them.

Hey, that's life though.
