Air X info needed

Anyone with info regarding AirX Salzburg Austria ? The current fleet, management, salaries .... Thx

His dudeness 19th Dec 2010 16:02

At least 2 Sovereigns and I think 2 Excels / XLS.
Rumour has it that 'they' like you to pay all the stuff with your creditcard and then don´t pay up or late. As said, its a rumour, I might be wrong.

Knowing the main persons involved personally I wouldn´t be surprised if that rumour is true.

His dudeness 20th Dec 2010 06:40

The used AOC is from elytra, Egelsbach, their own A/C is a BE90 IIRC.

The A/C have been on the Jetline ticket, but always belonged to Mr.N. and Mr.F., which are well known in the german scene from illustrious ventures such as ComfortAir (had the AOC revoked) and VistaJet before it was sold to its current owner.

Rumour has it, that Jetlines last nails in the coffin were knocked in by N. and F., dunno how much of that is fact...

@X933: is that Sovereigns or Cessna Sovereigns tryin to kill ya?

MikeEE 20th May 2011 15:44

Oh, forgot to mention - I just come out of ebace 2011, and heard the same bad service stories from Air X from 3 different operators, two of them in Salzburg as well. So not reliable people at all.

sovereign680 20th May 2011 21:03

They have one of the worst reputations in Germany and Austria I have ever heard of.

Air X

I heard a broker in UK had a similair issue with a AirX booking where aircraft was pulled just before flight and then by checking on CFMU the aircraft was used for another flight, only a rumour but where there's smoke blah blah

fly650 4th Jan 2012 23:24

They are not paying their employees, a hostess did not get her salary nd owner recruited the maintenance guy to look for n operator, keep away JMB went to jail and did not learn out of it.

flysecure85 20th Sep 2013 16:21

quo vadis - AirX -JBM arrested

It seems that AirX´ CEO John Matthews has trouble with justice again, it is reported that he is jailed in Lebanon over business ethics issues - again.

Seems to be something serious, otherwise police would not arrest somebody on the spot and without notification.

Did anybody hear from him - somehow ? Not many things which are worse than being jailed in Lebanon in the current situation.

AirX JBM

You´re sure? press conf was Wednesday. Before he went to Lebanon. Looks he is still there.

Hm, is this another 'will fly for food' scheme? Working two years for peanuts?

apprenticeship scheme-Latest Pilot Jobs-Latest Pilot Jobs

Liftboy 13th Nov 2013 15:12

I applied there for a job a few days ago and I got this:

Dear XXXX,

Thank you for your interest in our Company.
Currently we are looking for new people in AirX

We have an apprentice scheme here in our Company.

· Apartment near the office

If you are interested to start as an apprentice, we are looking forward for an interview.

Kind regards,
XXXX

I see the term 'gofor' is now referred to as an apprenticeship!

An apprentice learns a trade or skill, the skill is piloting, so why do they expect the pilot to do menial work in their offices?

Oh, cheap labour from those desperate to secure a flying position.

Very sad because no doubt plenty will apply.

wondering 13th Nov 2013 17:49

That´s just pathetic. Sadly it reflects the current state of the industry.

OutsideCAS 13th Nov 2013 19:44

The job advert reads like an operator that cannot afford to pay properly to retain proper staff, and then is looking to exploit a marketplace to keep going. Avoid would be my advice. Very cheesy slick-salesman-style job advert and to claim

the company achieves the most dynamic, knowledgeable and disciplined First Officers in the industry to support and join our crew, as well as the most experienced Captains on the flight deck of Air X
- how is that then, never heard of them, so it's not substantiated.

LGW Vulture 13th Nov 2013 20:19

The sad thing is - there are many multi millionaires and billionaires who save pennies and lose hundred of thousands of dollars. And of course, there are operators and managers who see this and cut their cloth accordingly. Whosoever chooses such a bunch as Air X deserve their comeuppance. I see two of their "team" and can honestly say, they have to be the most thoroughly disgusting individuals who should never ever grace the face of our business. Yuk....

And they keep coming back. Pass me the ******* bucket. :(

Booglebox 13th Nov 2013 22:12

I hear AirX are structured a bit oddly, i.e. they use someone else's AOC, or something.

antes56 8th May 2014 18:43

Anyone who applied to apprentice scheme with airx has started? Any feedback?

TCAS 2 6th Jun 2014 23:24

IF YOUWOULD LIKE TO BE PAID DO NOT WORK OR EVEN THINK OF WORKING FOR AIR X
Cash flow = no
Paying staff on time = no
If you have seen Dispecable Me it's the same, a control freak in charge and lots of gullible minions !!!

It was all a dream 26th Aug 2014 15:20

John B Matthews

He's done well to persuade people to hand over millions of dollars in investment given his 'interesting' past.

Air X :=
