Thanks Malc, but I'm in Teterboro doing the 2000easy initial. The paperwork was painless in the end apart from having to pay the CAA £42 to answer an email from the FAA. Thieving C:mad:Ts!!!!

I'm sure you're right socal - we Europeans love bureaucracy, and there is definitely a contradiction between the FAA and CAA forms, but in practice, the process is evidently straightforward. As things turn out, I'll shortly be back flying under EASA, but still will get an FAA ticket, because when I was looking, a couple of nice jobs came up which I was well qualified for, but for an FAA licence.
