Job interview! Arabian Jets

Can hardly believe my luck - I've just been called to attend an Arabian Jets interview in Paris. Can anyone provide details? I know the job is 3 months on and one off and the base headquarters is Jeddah but I don't know much more.

It is for a Hawker Captain but they have Challengers, BBJ and I think gulfstream or embraer too...

Any hints anyone - please pm me....

thanks!

3 months on and one off is quit long. On the other hand, if you can manage with your private/social life, why not taking the chance.

Are people with a JAA licence also welcome?

Gobble 6th Jul 2010 14:21

Inner - I belive mostly Saudi is only recognising FAA ATP's. However, worht checking - I sent my CV to [email protected]

Good luck!

No longer correct, they accept JAA licences and people have to do the GACA writtens to get issued a Saudi Licence.

AJ news

I've spoken to one of the Hawker guys that fly there now. They have just started operating the Hawker and it seems they are at the beginning of some big growth.
They have a Challenger 300, Challenger 850, Hawker 400, Hawker 900, one GIV (another soon to start), BBJ, Hakwer 800, as well as another Challenger 300 and Embraer Legacy arriving.
It seems they are very aware 3/1 is not ideal but with their crewing - two capts and one fo per aircraft there will be ample opportunity to release crew early or delay start, so in practice it will be more like 2 months and a bit ON followed by 6 weeks OFF to eliminate the spare pilot sitting around costing hotels and per diems etc.
The Management have assured the new chaps one of their priorities will be to ensure the long rotation is cut short whenever possible. They all seem very positive and upbeat, new offices being furnished now with a 24/7 Flight Dispatching Department and by the sound of it, loads of recruitment coming down the line for pilots and FA's.
My interview has changed to London in 10 days time - anyone else joining me there???

Fingers crossed!

I interviewed in Jeddah back in May when they first advertised for the BBJ and G-IV which I fly both and am current in both. I met the CEO and HR Manager. I just happened to be in Jeddah during that time so I called them to see if we could meet and sure enough they picked me up from my hotel and we did an interview, lasted about 45 min., just talked about my experience, and about the company and their plans. They have big plans for lots of growth. My biggest problem with them is the rotation, 3 on 1 off is too long, they asked me what I thought of it and I told them that most people would prefer 2 on 1 off even if it was for a little less money, they were a little suprised by that thinking that people would be ok with 3 on 1 off.

Anyways, I just happen to be in Jeddah during that time so I thought what the heck and called them to see if they would want to interview me while I was there.

I have been based in the Middle East for the past 4 years and I want OUT anyways, too depressing for me, I need a change of the weather every so often, seeing the sun everyday is too boring and depresing for me.

I am taking a position in China, much better than the middle east, better weather, (it rains there every so often), and the food is excellent and cheap, plus I get a better rotation than I have now with more pay than AJ would have paid me to fly the BBJ.

Anyways, AJ sounds solid, it should be ok if you can handle the long rotation, pay could be better too

nout rong with jeda

Believe me, it is OK, and there are many posters here who are in JED, and like it, given its limitations (and how to avoid them).

Stressfree: trust me you will not find many better rotations in ME these days: 2/1 is in my mind perfect, 3/1 is OK, but then i am a strange guy.

Interview call from Arabian Jets

Guess What guys, i couldnt imagine the professionallism of Arabian Jets. I just received a call from Arabian Jets for an interview call for a challenger 300 at this hour which is almost midnight in Saudi Arabia. I guess a 2 months on and a 1 month off is a good deal to work out. They have advised that the majority of Flight schedules is in Europe and rarely the aircraft flies to Saudi Arabia.:ok:

Hello,

Just want to know the Arabian jets destinations? accomodation: hotel or compounds?

Thx all:O

ashlea 9th Oct 2010 17:46

From what I understand thus far, accommodation is in a compound. Destinations vary, include European cities, and Beirut, Dubai. Not the US or Asia I don't think.

BBJ

Does anyone know if the BBJ has arrived yet? (P4-TBN)

mutt 11th Oct 2010 01:21

Eh? Arrived from where? That's a Jeddah based aircraft for last number of years.

Or have they changed operators from Arabasco to AJ?
