Anyone here flying in St. Thomas, or there abouts ?

Been there a few thousand times.

Also to St. Croix many, many times.

What is the question...?

Have you worked and lived there. ? A friend has a job !! down there for me, but ive only read bad things about the islands as a place to live.

Do a search in the Caribbean/Latin America forum as there are a few discussions there to read.

I used to live on St. Thomas but it has been a few years. I still fly down there occasionally. We enjoyed our time there.

Yes, had 5 flying jobs in the US Virgin Islands.

Enjoyed it, but you have to adjust to the "Local Conditions"

A bit of a third world country and quite expensive, almost unreal in many ways, but again, if you can adjust and enjoy the sailing and diving and take some of the bad stuff with a grain of salt, it can be quite good.

A friend got murdered, another friend raped and several friends and collegues got robbed. :sad:

It has been a few years and hopefully things have improved, not sure.

If you are a single male and not flashing gold chains and expensive cars you may stay under the radar of those who want something for nothing.
