What? Jet and Helicopter are apples and oranges...get off this thread if you know not of what you speak....

Schumacher's income wasn't what it used to be - this could well have been an austerity measure.

Spoke to his pilot once in GVA years ago. He thought Schumacher was a complete ****.Gave me an example. After having flown him around the world for 3 weeks and arriving home for three days off, Michael comes to the cockpit. " Hey guys, I'll be chartering out the a/c for the next couple of days". Guess who was flying it. Nice:D

After having flown him around the world for 3 weeks and arriving home for three days off,
Was it during the F1 season or on business.. surely the f1 season is pretty relaxed flying, one trip then sit on the ground for four days?
Or does he charter it once he has arrived at the circuit?

This was probably with his first FA2000, it was on COMLUX AOC in the past.

from what i've heard in business aviation circles, Michael is/was the more human of the two brothers.... :yuk:

Ten years + ago I spent a season flying a heli for Ferrari around the European races. I liked Michael for his straight honesty about life and Rubens was a true gent.

I often let Michael have a go, the shocker was that after one helo lesson it was difficult to see where man stopped and machine started, he had/has a level of mechanical sympathy which is truly astonishing.

Since that I've flown a lot of F1 drivers in similar circumstances, some are like Michael and all far better than the WRC guys who seem to think that all machinery should travel sideways at insane speed:\

Interesting. I've known his pilots from ten years ago and now. He may have fantastic helo and racing ability, but I've never heard a good thing about him as a member of the human race
