Alicante (LEAL / ALC) Which FBO?
 

I need help trying to decide which FBO to book in Alicante. The passengers are Russian and expect the highest levels of customer service. Can anyone recommend one of the 5 listed FBOs?

Alicante Air Services are the only real GA handlers there. The others are mainly designed for airlines. They are pretty good too - should look after your pax ok.

None of them are FBO's. They are handlers or agents.

Regularly use Alicante Air Services. A small operation (3 or so staff), but very good at getting you through the Spanish bureaucracy that seems to prevail there, especially when departing GA. Small landside lounge with coffee facilities, internet and so on. Judging by the pictures on the office wall, they regularly handle VIP traffic into ALC.

Couple of points:
They don't seem to answer their contact frequency but do monitor the arrivals. If you give them a good estimate of your arrival time, they will be waiting for you.
Alicia (owner) speaks good English, as does Kevin (ex-pat). Other(s) are not so good and communication can be a little trying! Suggest you ask for a good english speaker to be on duty if this is important to you or your clients.
Last time we asked for catering it was supermarket sandwiches which had their cost marked up by a big percentage! But this may not be typical and they might be able to get better versions given notice. It will cost, however!

Overall I would recommend them. No experience of the others.

Does anyone know if there is a good 'review' website for FBOs / GA handling agencies? I know EBAN have their annual survey, but wouldn't it be nice to have a quick reference site with a data base of FBOs / handlers, together with actual reviews from customers (a bit like trip advisor). Perhaps we should add this on PrivateFly.com?

Thanks for the advice, Alicante Air Services were great. They answered my emails / tel calls quickly and on the day they handled the pax and crew perfectly well.:ok:

ssshhh...don't tell anyone - they'll start to think we may know what we're talking about...!!!
