Small Ops Company Required

A couple of months ago there was a thread discussing recomendations for individuals or small companies offering economical flight planning/Ops services. Unfortunately, having spent some time trying, I cannot locate these threads through the search function.

Could therefore someone point me in the direction of the thread in question or alternatively provide the names and contact numbers once again.

Yours gratefully.

Flightworx

Hi Johnny,

Not sure on the rules for posting that (does it fall under advertising if you have no links to a company other than being a customer?).

I operate out of the Middle East, but we use a UK Ops company called Flightworx as they have a good reputation and have been able to arrange everything from flight plans to overflights and visas for us. They have provided us with some very short notice cover, and have someone available in their office 24/7 incase of any problems. Prices seem very competitive.

Their details are:
www.flightworx.aero
+44 (0) 1787 224807

I've copied that into a PM for you as well.

Hope that helps,

Chinchilla.

Echo the thoughts of Talliman regarding Signum Aviation. Very reliable, one to one service.

Good Luck.

AFS Airborne Flight Support

Hello,

an in germany located company named AFS Airborne Flight Support. All world wides services for corporate / general aviation / private flights. The crewbriefing package 45 EUR is not too much, the guys are 24/7/365 on duty. A possibility for price sensitive operators to outsource the dispatch!

merlinxx 23rd Jun 2009 05:16

Re SIGNUM, as they use Overflight Int'l, why not go dct to Overflight ?:ugh:

HS125 23rd Jun 2009 06:07

We use Signum and swear by them, Thay may outsource some Overflights but it's a well priced, reliable and personal service and we've never found ourselves banging our heads against any walls as in merlin's post.

Wh have honestly NEVER had an ops related problem.

Jeff

Flightworx

Like Chinchilla i have used and am still using Flightworx. UK based company who seem to have a good quality 24/7 ops team. I have used them for worldwide flight support and haven't been anywhere yet that they cant handle.

Nothing seems to be much trouble for them and their prices are very competitive. Give them a try..... www.flightworx.aero

falcondriver1970 23rd Jun 2009 19:13

I agree with the comment before about Flightworx. They last year helped us make a flight and I am happy to use them again.

I only need to find a seat which to sit!:{

First.officer 24th Jun 2009 09:23

As per other comments above, having used Flightworx i can highly recommend them on all levels - the guys (and gal) all strive for perfection it seems, highly competitive on price and with 24/7 support makes for exceptional service - like some trip support providers who fall down in worldwide ops, these guys are very experienced in all areas around the globe and therefore have vast resources of contacts and knowledge to source short notice overflight permits, arrange handling, fuelling at best rates, optimised flight routings etc., etc.

If anyone requires a chat than more than welcome to drop me a PM, will happily discuss my experiences (all positive) ! oh, and just to note in case anyone is in doubt - i have no connection with the company other than being an end user of the exceptionally good services they offer ! :ok:

mrskytec 24th Jun 2009 16:41

I think the praise for flightworx so far on here is well-deserved.

They have builit a very capable, solid team, and they're determined to be the best. They're quite a breath of fresh air in this sector.
I've been impressed in all my B2B dealings with the company thus far, and have heard good things from colleagues who have operated under their trip support.

FOUR REDS 25th Jun 2009 09:34

I have used Flightworx several times for flight planning and permissions throughout Europe and Asia. They once obtained an Indian landing permit for us in less than 40hrs which was truly outstanding. The support staff provide a professional, personal and timely service always and as mentioned by others, pricing is very competitive, in fact much lower than our previous support provider. All in all, I'd recommend them.

Johnny Redd 26th Jun 2009 11:30

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your suggestions. Very Helpful :ok:

UK Ops Company

I am too tight fisted to pay for advertising so I thought I would pose as a satisfied customer of my own to company post here and send PM's to other members.

twinjetter 12th Jul 2009 15:11

Wow, a certain 5-terminal airport-based Ops provider be good if a "client" of theirs takes the time to send PM's to a ppruner who has never expressed a public interest in discovering more about flight service providers (has every other member of PPRuNe got one too?)

Oh and to re-quote ver batim their recommendation post from the thread - truely they must be something special.

If a "client" takes that much time to praise a supplier; I can only imagine what an employee of that company would say....but then that would be advertising wouldn't it:=

If I want the info, I'll ask for it thanks.

HS125 13th Jul 2009 19:57

I had the same PM, not impressed.

Just to clarify, he only way we'll be changing our Ops provider is if the man at Signum gets out of the business....

And no we're not affiliated.

Another good company that provide 'flight watch / support' is Stockholm Radio, the same company that provide HF radio. :D

FLEXJET 3rd Jan 2011 10:14

new small company

There is a new small ops company I was given very positive feedback about.
It is based in France/Switzerland and is specialized in private aircraft operations. Cost efficient and experienced people.

Falconskipper 12th Jan 2011 22:55

Proceed with care

Small ops companies are a good idea, but its finding the right one. Make sure that once you start using them and providing regular income for them, that they don't try to stab you in the back with the company that you work for. Many of the companies are respectable but the odd makes you wish you hadn't bothered with them in the first place.
A pilot I met a couple of months ago had problems with his small ops company, who didn't seem to like any of the pilots they provided their services for. He was fired because of their petty backstabbing and their final judgement.

Falconskipper 14th Jan 2011 12:00

Pay as you go

So in essence you are probably better off paying as you go per sector for your flight plans, and keeping more control over who you decide to use

dc9-32 14th Jan 2011 19:08

Pay as you go, or per sector, is the way forward. PM me for details.

Tequilaboy 16th Jan 2011 13:35

A good operations....

.... provider will build their service around your needs and requirements. Doesn't have to be the biggest, doesn't have to be the smallest, just has to listen to the client.

magvelda 16th Apr 2011 19:23

White Rose Aviation are not bad either...
