Flying in the Ukraine

Hi all

I am trying to get some information on flying in the Ukraine (privately). I have also posted on the rotorheads forum as it would be a helicopter operation. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thank you

Hi,

Not so bad place to go there, especialy if you are single.:)
Kiev is a nice city,if you're based in UKBB,there are efficient, you've got your fuel and your catering quickly!!!

Safe flights!!

If you fly into Odessa with a helicopter, you won't have to experience the exceptionally rough surfaces, runway and taxiway.

The only comment I have is any change in itinerary requires diplomatic approval. I flew Citation into Odessa in March, and change of itinerary required written request via aircraft owner/ops manager to initiate the diplomatic process.

And yes, Kiev is a happening city. Happy trails!

I am flying FW private to Odessa UKOO next month. Been in touch with the airport. No PPR, no avgas (so refuelling at Constanta) but they did not mention any special procedures as mentioned above: "any change in itinerary requires diplomatic approval"
