Anyone any up to date info on using EGQL in the next few weeks? are the allowing fixed wing aircraft?....anyoen gone in their recently?

Was in there bout 6 months ago. Yes indeed runways are being resurfaced at the moment and as a resut i think they are only accepting operational traffic.
Enroute handed over from scottish to leuchars approach UHF VHF available. We approached from the west and received vectors for a PAR approach to the easterly runway cant remember now if 09 or 08. You can operate QNH if requested.
Intersetingly we shot a PAR to limits with 20kt crosswind coming off the sea. PAR control is very good.
Airfield is situated across the eastury from St andrews so make sure and bring the clubs. Dundee is also a good spot for a few quiet ones!!!

Leuchars is closed to all GA traffic, as for flying up to Dundee, it understandably is very busy, especially with open golf on at moment. believe Dundee is by prior arrangement only at moment.
