London Executive Aviation
Has anyone up to date information on LEA ? Are they Interviewing ? What format does it entail if they are ? What are they like to work for ? Any information would be helpful thanks :D

Hi Jet7,
If you look in the back of last week's Flight International, you'll see an advert for LEA, looking for Legacy, Citation 2, Citation Excel and Challenger pilots. I can't remember the requirements off the top of my head. I would suggest you look at the AG Flying and Biz Jets forum as i know a few of the LEA pilots prowl the threads there. From the pilots i see, they are a very nice bunch and are all very friendly but i no nothing of the company as a whole. Best of luck! Chile |
Many thanks for that, Cant seem to find much info on them though on state of play today. Cheers:ok:

I have worked with them for many years chartering their aircraft and, as a whole they are a very professionally run operation. Try Karl Ratcliffe the Chief Pilot. Best B_B |
Tried to email him but no response. Appreciate your response thanks.:)

Correct email address for Pilot jobs @London Executive
Don't bother disturbing Karl Ratcliffe regarding possible flightdeck positions := he's a very busy chap! :ugh:
Try Neil Onions, Chief Training Captain, also a very busy chap, but he's the one who will be doing your sim check! Email your cv to: [email protected] and you should get at least an acknowledgement that your CV has been received. :} www.flylea.com LEA need crew, so if your CV contains the right minima you could well be in luck! :ok: Make sure you're happy to self-fund a type rating though...... Good company, with expansion plans that are actually in progress......compare that to a lot of other GA operators, " we've got GV's/Globals/A319ACJ/BBJ's on order" that never actually arrive!!! Hello chileconcarne27! Thanks for the Hot Chocolate(s)!! :ok: |
Is Neil Onions no longer working for NATS then?
|
Monsieur Oignons is the Chief Training Captain.
|
:)
The company appears refreshingly courteous in acknowledging CVs. Even those that come from pilots who, whilst perhaps having the paper qualifications, have become so old that they have forgotten whatever it was that they ever knew about flying.:D |
The reality is that most of us are normal human beings who remember what it was like to be a 'wannabe' and are happy to help. The problem is that a lot of employees of a company like LEA are doing the jobs of two (some more) and fly a full program, so there are not enough hours in the day.
We value the efforts potential employees make and if your face (or figures) fit you will hear.................................. :ok: |
...and just gone to a 6/3 roster, which is nice. but who's idea was that :suspect: uniform tie?!
|
From ILS mechanic at LCY to Chief training Captain in 2 years- a record! It was Neil also who selected personally the ties I understand.:D
|
Neil joined LEA as Chief Training Captain!
He was indeed working at LCY for NATS, but held an ATPL with TRE/IRE for his part-time work for some time before leaving NATS. Can't blame Neil for 'The Tie'. This was in place before Neil arrived...... I think Glyn takes the dubious honour for the design...... |
yeah! don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!

Hi
Any idear on format for Pilot interview. Any help would be great guys. :} |
Hello there!
I'm F/O on the Beech 200 with 1500Hrs and 200 on type, UK-JAA fAPTL, fluent in English and French, and currently Continued Airworthiness Manager with my company, on top of that. Do insiders think my face could fit? Thanks |
LEA's KingAirs
Hello 5 Rings!
I'm sure you would be in with a very good chance! LEA has a policy of promoting from within, so a lot of KingAir crew are moving up the ladder. A KingAir Captain started his Excel rating this week, so there are opportunities arising all the time. Our KingAirs do a lot of Air Ambulance work, and 'Go Now' type operations for organ transplants, so as long as you could live within 1 hour maximum from Stapleford then you would almost certainly get an interview. Good Luck!:ok: |
Thank you Arkwright for your swift reply!
Could you PM me T&C, as this relocation needs assessment. Cheers, 5 Rings |
...Please!
