I.T failed! tried to send you a private message but failed. Club 328 on the up.....excellent company with an upbeat feeling to it. try and send a private message again!

Bookajet and Club328 are not one and the same

According to the article I've just read in 'Flight', Bookajet.com and Club328 are completely independant and separate companies.

Bookajet.com were marketing the assets (aircraft for charter?) of Club328.

Club328 appears to be closely allied to Club Airways in Geneva.

Bumz_Rush 14th Aug 2004 18:03

727 is correct

Club air of Geneva is the operational arm. I understood that, and this is subject to clarification, that Booker were involved in the money side, as well as the UK marketting.

Thanks 727 and B_R for your replies. As I understand it,Club 328 was born out of bookajet when it agreed to operate for the Swiss company Club Airways, who want the aircraft to fly under their own brand.Bookajet are purchasing Envoys to meet this need, but apparently will also continue to operate an independent business under their own name;with a mixed fleet ???? I have absolutely no idea what the financial arrangements are ! How do you find out ? I imagine these things are only known by the wheelers and dealers.

I dont have too much knowledge about life in the coprorate sector,so if either of you are involved and would PM me a contact ,I would appreciate a chat at your convenience.

Thanx l8.

Aerohack 15th Aug 2004 19:37

As I understand it, Bookajet is buying the Envoys and essentially wet-leasing them to its partner Club Airways. Bookajet's CEO Warren Seymour and Club's founder Hans Schwab announced the deal at EBACE in May. The initial order was then for seven firm, plus six options, subsequently increased to eight firm. The first two (one of which was displayed in the Business Aviation Park at Farnborough, then without the 16-seat executive interior specified by Bookajet/Club) are 'white tails' from Fairchild Dornier-built stock held by AvCraft, the remainder will be new-builds, with final deliveries scheduled for 2006. Club 328 will operate them on members-only FBO-to-FBO scheduled services, initially Geneva-Moscow/Vnukovo, with London-City as a future destination once the 328JET has been approved for the steep approach following trials flown last month.

Latest news, hold the front page!

Aerohack and L8 Starter...interesting update on the Bookajet.com/Club328 situation...

Having spoken to a Driver that I know at Club328, Bookajet.com is now definitely a separate organisation.

Bookajet.com were - until recently, assisting with marketing the assets (aircraft for charter) of Club328 (previously known as Ourjet).

Looks as if Bookajet.com have now re-located to Farnborough, whilst Club328 are still based in Southampton.

Don't know much about Hans Schwab or Warren Seymour, but found (ok - it was actually Google that found it!) an interesting article from the Evening Standard...

Info on dear old Wazza? Try that... or Chauffair maybe... or NJI - National Jet Italia. Before that National Jet Services in Oz. You could try APW or Aviation Partners Worldwide - maybe even Cobham(FR)... there is lots out there :)
The man makes things happen, no doubt about it. A very interesting chap to work for.

Crun... "an interesting chap to work for".
I think the phrase "interesting chap to see working" is a better way of putting it - saves on a lot of stress.

Hello SC!

Vaap 10th Sep 2004 09:55

If you don't stay hidden FB the thread might just vanish in to thin air. :D

Frodo Baggins 14th Sep 2004 18:39

Greetings Vaap :p

mmmmm now me thinks that sounds like some kinda threat/warning

:ooh:

Your quite safe though got far better things to do with my time :ok:

Anyways how can I stay hidden when ones not in hiding in the first place!!

Mines a pint!! :)

pilgrim 14th Sep 2004 20:48

BE NICE ah . I,ll always watch your back.SC

Frodo Baggins 15th Sep 2004 17:41

Howdy Pilgrim!

I'd say you wanna get your facts straight before diving in the pond!

For the record neither of my posts were intended to be un-nice or include any malice. The first post was intended as a bit of a laugh coupled with a general warning to readers that the thread is monitored closely and to try and deter any further postings about you guys. It also included a big shout out to me mate SC who I had been chatting to over the previous couple of days and if he's reading this still owes me some info!!!!

I was a little surprised by the reply posting that appeared back.

Anyways you obviously know me and therefore that fact that I'm a customer of said organisation. However if you boys wanna get anti and through stones in my direction I can always take the business elsewhere!

SC only owes me a pint :D I'd say you owe me 2! :) :) :ok:

Vaap 17th Sep 2004 11:23

Sorry if you thought it was a threat FB. It was just an observation that threads some times go missing. I am sure you have done a search only to find an older thread has suddenly disappeared. Maybe even about this subject, maybe in an older guise?

What is the connection with EuroManx?

eurobird 20th Sep 2004 17:51

And what is the connection with Rossair??

juan who nose? 14th Oct 2004 07:04

A couple of days ago the FT carried a major article about Club Airways and Club328 in its special report on Business Aviation.

The articles say that all is not well at Club Airways with major financial restructuring to address significant debts ($1m owed to suppliers) and big cut backs in the route network at the moment.

Club328 attempted to take Club Airways over according to the report but were rejected as predatory with their offer described as "lousy" in the article.

Given this falling out where does this leave Club328 who do the majority of flying for Club Airways?

Also, most of Club328's Dornier order was for use with Club Airways I think so what happens now?

Sounds like all is not going to plan at Southampton.... may be the Euromanx link will provide another direction and an answer?
