CL 605 Air mode issue

Hello, I’m a pilot on the CL 605, I’m wondering if any other pilots are facing an issue with the FMC CDU. This issue has been happening consistently. First flight of the day on start up. On the Pos init page I will be able to input the airport ref coordinate on the CDU 2. However after the first landing and setting up for the second flight the CDU 2 will not allow to key in the airport ref. Upon further inspection. I realised on the Per menu flight Log page. The aircraft has not landed (Air mode). However this does not happen with the CDU 1. We have check with engineering for a possible WOW sensor problem. But it doesn’t seem to be the issue. We are currently engaged with CRC and Collins, and after further discussion with them. They are quite puzzled with our issue. We have sent the plane over to BAss Singapore. They found no issue with out plane. We even did a FMS swap on No 2. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Try Ppos from GPS's

You input the Airport reference coordinates? That is usually far away in the middle of the runway, I think.
We input Ppos from GPS1 to FMS1 and GPS2 to FMS2 (GPS takes like 30 sec more than GPS1)
Try that may be it solve your problem.
It s weird that you swap CDU's and still and check WOW and nothing.
Good luck.

we just key in the airport code on the Pos init page. We do use the GPS pos 1 and 2 for our position. The people in bombardiers suspect that it could be an issue with the IAPS box. So we are gonna switch the box and resolve. Hopefully that will fix the problem. We can’t engage out Autothrust during take off. Only able to engage it when airborne due to the conflicting information the FMS is receiving. FMS 1 is on the ground and FMS 2 is in the air. Thanks for your help

Don’t know if this will help with your situation, but Bombardier just released an Advisory Wire for the Challenger 300/350, reference no: AW300-34-0381, Subject FMS FLT LOG on FMS-6200....”As detailed in the OPSB (Ref. 1.1), upon landing and during the flight, the FLIGHT LOG CDU page should display the data summarizing the flight, appropriate for the condition (I.e. landing info displayed if a landing is performed, Enroute info if in flt). However, there is an issue that the left CDU FLIGHT LOG page may display the flt log data as if it were the opposite flt condition (I.e. Enroute info presented after landing, or landing info if Enroute)

To mitigate issue:

Following a flight, if XFR’d is set on RIGHT on the FCP, use the RIGHT FMS FLIGHT LOG page info, from the right CDU, to record flt info.
The crew may also select the XFR switch LEFT on the FCP which will trigger the LEFT FMS CDU to display the appropriate FLIGHT LOG page info.

Hope this helps

Cheers
