Good alternate for KPBI during TFR shutdown
I'm not familiar with So. Florida geography or local driving times. When KPBI is shutdown due TFR what is the best alternate airport in the area to avoid the TFR without restriction? Heading to KPBI on a Friday and leaving on Saturday soon so wondering what the regulars advise. 6000' runway is enough. Thanks.
Looking at fltplan.com nearest airports:
Boca Raton KBCT 20 miles South 6,276' No idea how long it takes to drive, it's South Fla!
Ft Lauderdale Exec KFXE 31 miles South 6002'
There's also KFLL and KOPF further South and KFPR 50 miles North.
I've been to FXE, FLL and OPF. Of those I'd think FXE would be easiest for everyone, but BCT is closer. Never been there though.
