Upcoming trip, extended stay. Nothing recent here or NBAA, any information pertaining to ops, customs, airport, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
I laid over there about 8 years ago. Stayed at the Avacha downtown. It was late April, snowed every night and everything was under 2’ of snow and ice. Doubt it’s improved much.

Take a trip to see the bears... go up a volcano... eat lots of crab... there are a couple of ok hotels there and if you research there are some good restaurants .. Internet is generally better in Russia than most places.. airport is easy enough... oh and get some red caviar from the big market... It’s not as bad as people think and certainly better then 8 years ago...
Check with Jepp or Arinc or whoever is doing your overflights as to the latest. We stop there once a year for fuel and its always pretty simple. But they have been discouraging overnights, however as is usually negative waaaaay too much and covered in snow, there is always a warm FBO in RJAA or PANC that is much more inviting than UHPP
