Was there in 2010 but I guess conditions haven't changed much.
Runway was in good shape and when you taxi to the almost deserted ramp you'll find your very friendly and helpful handling agent ready for you. We did not take any fuel and lav service as we came in from Lubumbashi and went on to Livingstone (C-750).
NDB approach works certainly fine, we did it visual and it was great.
Hotel was the Mfuwe Lodge, great place, friendly people and a fun, open roofed shuttle from the airport to the hotel.

Baboons
Watch the baboons on the runway. Beware when the troop is split... if one or two are sitting one side and the rest are the other side, they're going to spook and want to regroup.

There might be animals, night ops are possible paying extra but do organize in advance. You can keep it open after 6 for a while. Cool place info above about lodge is good, If you are in for some days and want the best lodge go to Presidential Lodge.
