Hotels for Emirates CAE Dubai

I have an initial coming up and I'm looking for current hotel recommendations.

I've got Spire Elite with IHG and considering forking out for Ambassador if the Intercontinentals are any good. Otherwise Hilton or possibly Starwood for the points.

Ideally something with a good gym and lounge access.

Marriott in Deira is a little dated now but a decent hotel with about the best crew rate. CAE has drivers that usually collect and drop you off at the hotel so that might be suitable. It's a little further away than some of the airport hotels. Closest is probably the Millenium Airport hotel, a few colleagues have stayed there and spoke relatively highly of it.

Jumeirah Creekside Hotel is 100meters from the front door. It beats taking the car every day, and it's low cost.

Marriott Marquis rules with an executive lounge that looks like a 4 star restaurant at happy hour.

CAE has a list of hotels with a favorable rate. If the Marquis isn't on it, they used to give me a rate 10% above the JW in Deira.

Le Meridien at the Airport used to be a right den of iniquity.
