Have you seen these?

Plane Piaggio AVANTI

If you get to fly it, its an intriguing aircraft. I have always wondered what it would be like.

I did a pilot demo. Pretty impressive. Far quieter than the King Air and roomier too. I'm looking for a newer training manual, but I have an AFM and an old(er) training manual.

I have a copy of the P180 manual... what is it you're after? The performance chapter is different but most of the systems excluding the avionics are the same

h

EDIT- actually read your last post now. I did my type rating with Piaggio in Genoa and we didn't use a training manual!

Far quieter than the King Air and roomier too.
And faster, although with worse runway performance.
If passengers didn't balk at the sight of propellers so often, I think we'd see a lot more of them in Europe.

They're cool looking. They're wicked fast.
But holy crap they're also NOISY.
Some airports in the US have banned or limited them because they're noiser than jets.

Technically they aren't noisier, but the human ear doesn't like a square sine wave sound, which is what they produce. But yes, semantics aside people don't like the sound so they have addressed it with the new curved propellers on the Evo.

But it is not enough, and places in Europe are working on the ban of this plane as well.. too much noise impact.
From inside it is very nice and quiet, on the ground it looks like a Starship. But a King Air ANYTIME, much more versatile, and for the stage length usually flown, not worth it. another italian moped.;
