Trump's B757
There was an interesting documentary on this aircraft recently.
Certainly a nice machine, couple of questions come to mind. After some cabin mod's the aircraft was weighed and the number given was approx 141,400 pounds.
Seems a little heavy compared to my outfit where the average OEW is around 130,000. Of course this is a no expense spared cabin, just curious how typical this is on a private 757.
The other question is that it doesn't appear to have any auxiliary fuel tanks, i'm sure the performance with full tanks and operating at significantly lighter weights than the airlines is sufficient, just wondered if it ever had them or were there plans to install ?

I used to see the crew of his B727 a lot and had a tour of the plane a couple times. Assuming his 757 is decked out nicer than the 727 which was pretty opulent, the weight doesn't surprise me.
Corporate interiors usually weigh in a bit more than airline configurations in similar type aircraft even though there are fewer seats. They can get away with this because the payload is always less so there's more room for extra weight.
Even though they use weight reducing technologies (it only looks like solid wood cabinets) there's a lot of it and it adds up.
Going to go Google that plane now....curious

Can't see how you get a 16 hour range out of this Aircraft Flxjet.
I don't think that's realistic, there do not appear to be any auxiliary fuel tanks fitted.

Whilst nicer than the 727, still all a bit too blingy and showy for my taste…
Don't get me wrong… I am sure if I had the money to have a private 757 (not that it would be my personal choice…) then I am sure I would have some stuff that would not be to other peoples taste, but all that gold is really not me.
