...cause they donīt have real midsize jets yet.

The Latitude and Longtitude are late.

I guess the Latitude will be a seller, the Longtitude...too small cabin again IMHO.

Yup. I think the longer this crisis continues then Cessna will need to start to say their prayers.

They could however do a HBC and downsize to pistons and props.

Whodathoughtit?!?

Cessna halting production of Mustang and CJ family
Bombardier halted production of LJ60XR
Hawker doesnt make any jets...

Demise of midsize, only Embraer is selling Phenom 100/300.
Seems that customers are going to CL300/350; F2k; Legacy and Sovereign class.. Interesting times ahead.

CL350 just a rework of an older design with avionics upgrade and minor tweaks. Expensive

F2Ks Ditto Expensive

G280 An attempt to fix an already flawed design. Expensive

New Sovereign. As CL350 but cheap.

Legacy 500.....now you're talking.....

Agreed, the G200 had its issues. The G280 is a different beast altogether. Time will tell...

CL350 is new avionics, SVS, dual IRS, new cabin layout, new windows, blended winglets, upgraded engines, more range. Other than that its the same jet.

Lesson number one in corporate aviation: If your boss wants wants you to fly a big overpriced piece of ****, like a Challenger, sitting down in the 30s, getting hammered by the weather while Encores are up at Fl450 zipping along smooth as glass, don't argue with him. It's a paycheck, they rarely listen, just give them what they want.

Guys,

During last EBACE, Legacy 500 did a quite good show! It is a promissing design.

I am sure it will kill the Sovereign and bite the CL300 market a lot.

Let's seed..

All the best,

Sydy

I take it, you never flew the Challenger 300 ?

I certainly never had to sit in the 30s in the 300.

Dudeness - Well my bad. I checked the CL300 to find it has a FL450 service ceiling, now, or maybe it was the 600 I was thinking of.

Did they bump the sc on the Challengers?

The 300 is FL450, the CL601, 604 and 605 are FL 410. I've bounced around at FL450 as much as at FL350, higher levels is nice but hardly essential. Flown them all btw.
