Sorry if this is mentioned somewhere else, i did my search but to no avail...

Surely your employer will send you to where the company pilots train Kyriacos?

Edit:
http://www.pprune.org/biz-jets-ag-fl...ls-cae-uk.html

If you are contemplating buying a TR on a Bizjet without an employment contract, read the thread above Kyriacos.

A TR on a Bizjet without time on type or a signed contract of employment is indeed very risky business. If you have a signed contract, possibly different, but any decent company will pay for the rating and possibly bond you. Even worse is low total time and no time on type.

There's a 604 sim in AMS.To give you some idea of the rip-off on corporate aircraft costs...a recurrent on a 605 is approx 30000 dollars in Delaware and the same at CAE Dubai, excluding hotels, travel etc.If you're thinking of contract work, think long and hard as you will need an OPC with whatever company you wish to work with.Bye Bye freelancing!

Thank you all for your responses, much appreciated!

500 above: im 30, i have a stable engineering job, living in a beautiful island with a dog and apartment, so trust me, i would never jump into a hectic and catastrophic financial situation without guarantied signed contract. Actually the operator (please allow me not to disclose the name at this point) offers the contract and then releases you for the TR in Dubai (found out it is close to 40000 usd not including accomondation etc).

Operator will be paying 3-5000 p/month upon employment

I ll try work out a better deal with them, see if it works.

Please feel free to provide any additional issues that i should be aware of.

thos and joker, i will be looking for CAE AMS as well, thanks again!

I hope the stable engineering job isn't with CY!

No decent company would ask you to fork out 40000 plus hotac etc. Be very cautious. What next, will they ask you to pay recurrent fees twice a year?

Weren't you asking on here a while back about paying for a Falcon 900 t/r? (For the LCA based one on Flying Groups AOC presumably, the thread was deleted shortly after)

Good luck.

Edit:

If the operator contracts you then sends you to Dubai for the sim, why would they want/let you choose another training centre such as Amsterdam? It doesn't sound right.

Kyriakos, the initial cost 40-50, then you got your landings on top of that, the recurrent is 30-35 and they only pay you 3-5 a month? You will never get ahead, so you will in effect be financing the company. Are they doing so sh!tty that they need your cash to survive and pay the office people?

Good little scam there, they will profit on you year on year.

Agreed CL. It's near enough pay to fly!

If he is lucky, he will fly 200 hours a year and may make command in 10 years, that means he will be just about break even in 15.

500above, its not for CY luckily
im currently working on the renewable energy industry which is the only area doing well in Cyprus at the moment... And no, u must have confused me with someone else, never asked about Falcon or any other TR as im against any P2F scheme without sustainable terms and conditions.

cldrvr these are issues that will be certainly raised , discussed and evaluated prior to signing any kind of contract, if that ever happens of course.

Again, im not some desperate rich kid who wants to get up there without thinking the long term consequences. Its a dream job but im not going to destroy my personal life and bank account just for the heck of it!

I'll never understand how people even consider paying for this stuff. I guess the days of finding the right person for the job have been replaced by finding the person with the deepest pockets to pay for the job.
