Great opening speeches today and the new aircraft is looking very nice. Shame about the weather I flew a test leg the other day and everything seemed to run well. Best of luck!!!

Thanks AP! A day which will go down in history..

So today at 11am Aerobility Charity started their Global Flight Simulator Challenge. For up-to-date details of our pilots and where they are flying in the world 24/7 in the simulator, check out our web page below and click on our blog.

We are also well below what we had hoped to raise to buy the simulator at the moment. This is a wonderful charity teaching disabled people to fly and the simulator helps our students enormously. Please text GFSC12 £5 to 70070 to donate to Aerobility and make a difference today...Thank you so much

So yesterday we broke the world record (yet to be verified by Guinness) and tomorrow our Global Flight Sim Challenge ends with our sim landing back at Blackbushe piloted by Brian Jones at 11.20 am… Brian was one of the Breitling Orbiter pilots.

We still need to raise enough money to buy our Simulator and we would appreciate any donations you are able to make by texting GFSC12 £5 to 70070, Many Thanks

A big thanks to all our fantastic pilots who donated to Aerobility to take part in the challenge, our amazing Celebrities and the Heathrow and Swanwick ATCO’s and many other people that worked as 24hr witness’s for our Guinness challenge. We appreciate your commitment and dedication as we could never have done this without you.

To everyone involved and all you PPRUNERS out there, please don’t hesitate to pop in to Aerobility at Blackbushe for a coffee any time you are passing, we’d love to see you.

Keep up date with the last 12 hours of our challenge by looking at our website..

Aerobility student on 'The One Show' tonight at 7pm

Whilst Radio 2's Chris Evans was taking part in the Global Flight Simulator Challenge with Buzz Aldrin he met one of Aerobilitys students and the most disabled NPPL holder pilot in the UK, Nathan Doidge. He decided to make a short film about Nathan and Aerobility which will be aired on the BBC 1 'The One Show' at 7 pm tonight.
If you go to the Global Flight Sim Challenge pages on Aerobilitys website you will see photo's of the filming day..

We have also now submitted all the details of the Challenge with Guinness for hopefully a new World Record, keep your fingers crossed everyone.

We're looking for volunteers..

Aerobility at Blackbushe UK is looking for volunteers…..
Volunteers working with Aerobility provide an extremely valuable resource, and are treated as an integral part of the team.
The important quality’s that the charity needs in volunteers are a willingness to be part of a team and lots of enthusiasm..
The charity is user led and currently only has 2 full time and two part time employees.. We are looking for volunteers who can help out on an ad hoc and regular basis to assist with the following tasks…
The day-to-day running of the School, Assisting disabled qualified pilots, Fundraising, Reception, Marketing, Communications and PR, Instructing (aircraft), Instructing (Simulator), Student Mentoring, Able-bodied Assistance and Heavy Lifting (local people needed for this please), Booking lessons, Data Entry, Computing and IT, Aircraft Cleaning, Assisting at Exhibitions, Odd jobs and Handyman/woman, the list is endless. Please PM me if you would like to help us, Thank you
