Dear All,

Can anybody reccommend SIMCOM Florida as a training provider, and how do they compare to the usual suspects CAE and FSI.

Just wondered what the quality of delivery of training vs costs were especially as
regards CE525 training.

I have been to SimCom on the Lear 35 and PC12. They are a good value with excellent instructors.

Did Hawker 800A recurrent twice at Simcom-Orlando after several stints at CAE. Nice facility, I thought the sim was better than the one at CAE Dallas. The first time our instructor was top notch, the second time we had a different one and he seemed disinterested. It was still a good value and we were mostly satisfied but subsequently returned to DFW for logistical and practical reasons.

Simcom Florida: First class in every respect! Excellent pricing, fantastic value for money, and if you want to be taught by a guy with 20,000 hours on a Hawker ask for Dave as your sim instructor!

I've trained at Simcom's facility in Scottsdale, Arizona. It's very good and I'd prefer the location to Orlando - less humid, less touristy, some great hotels at very reasonable rates through Simcom. 20mins from Phoenix Airport.

I have had numerous initial and recurrent C-500 and HS-125 training events with SIMCOM. Great facility, curriculum, and hospitality (Orlando much better than Scottsdale). As we all know, the quality of the training event is dependent upon the instructor. My experience has been better than half, but each has his/her own.

From my experience, given the odds of good instructor, I recommend SIMCOM as they provide the same quality training as Flight Safety (which I have attended) for significantly reduced price, especially if you are returning customer.

All positive feedback ,looks like a great place to train, however they provide FAA training only. I wish they did JAA training also!

I did there sim on PA46, then just few hours on real one to obtain JAA type rating. Great experience to practise emerg situations etc.

Let me get this straight..... I can do the FAA Sim course on a C525 on my JAA licence then come back to the EU do some hours in the real a/craft or some hours on an a/craft in the US and this will give me a JAA rating?

our CAA agreed with that. I think I had 10+10 hrs on sim (10 from left and another 10 from right seat) and then 2 hrs training on real one for VFR rating (I didnt have IR that time) with aprox 1 hr exam. And after few months when I get my IR I just made 1 hr IR exam on type.

I am not sure if you can pass these hours on real piece under FAA (suppose not).

I did both my initial and continuing recurrent in the PC12NG there and find it to be both beneficial and to the point. The instructors I've had thus far don't waste time checking boxes, if they can see the student understands the material they move on to something more relevant/challenging.
