AOC Region? Jet Air
hi all, how do I check if the operator is telling the truth? I am flying areas way outside the AOC region, and the accoutnable manager Martin Spiegl keeps saying we have war risk, we have LBA permission - I am sure he is lying, and I dont know how to check it? I am flexiable but this is pushing me to the limit in this place, it is really bad, worst challenger operation ever. I dont want to call the LBA as this would start a firework..
The first place to look is the "Air Operator's Certificate" which will be issued by the LBA if your operation is approved by them. This will refer to the "Operations Specifications" which is an attachment to the AOC. The Ops Spec should include the aircraft model and the area of operations permitted. the area of ops should include a list the geographical area(s) of authorized operation (by geographical coordinates or specific routes, flight information region or national or regional boundaries).

You can operate outside the limits written in your OM-A, but subject to approval from your authority (LBA).
Ask for a copy of your aircraft insurance certificate (you will easily see if it has been amended to cover your "out of the aera" ops).

Martin Speigl keeps telling us the LBA are fine with Jet Air flying outside the AOC region, but we never see the papers, it is a risk all the time in this place and scared. We have to follow his rules even if it is water uphills at times. no qaulity checks, no AOC people with control and all are controled by this lebanesse guy in Beirut
most flight we are doing are over duty and way outside the region and no one is helping us or supporting us, then they dont pay on time becuase of "accounts in lebanon" it is madnesss here. GET ME A CHALLENGER JOB PLEASE! these guys are heading for another crash!

Are you PIC? If yes why are you doing these flights? You are responsible for the airplane operating within the limits and if you have any doubt you have the possibility to refuse a flight!

Dear all,
My name is Martin Spiegl and I am writing to you in my capacity as a Managing Director of Jetair Flug GmbH.
Very few members of this forum are trying to defame Jetair and ImperialJet with incorrect information.
Let me respond to the allegations of the user paybeforefly and shipshape79Charlie:
- "Tire Pressure check is not done on the Learjet fleet." Firstly, I am wondering why paybeforefly complains about Learjet issues, when he is saying in another thread that he is on the Challenger fleet. Secondly, and much more important, we are complying with the respective AD, like any other operator does. The required documentation is regularly reviewed by the CAMO organisation and audited by the German Civil Aviation during their normal audits.
- „ImperialJet lost their AOC in Lebanon“ ImperialJets AOC is valid, the highest court of Lebanon has ruled that it is valid. It is true, that there have been attempts to revoke this AOC,
But the highest Lebanese court has acknowledged in their decision that this was done wrongfully by the CAA and in order to give commercial advantage to other favored operator, which are owned by persons trying to influence politics and its administration.
- “No Fuel Cards” All of our Aircrafts are equipped with Shell, AirBP, Petrofer, Nautilus and ExxonMobil Fuel carnets. I think this is more than the average Businessjet is equipped with.
- “Flying outside ICAO regions” Jetair is flying in the regions EUR, AFI, MID/ASIA. We have not conducted any flight outside the approved regions, I am wondering how paybeforefly could keep such flightlogs as evidence.
- “Not getting paid” Everybody gets paid for his work and services. Every supplier and every employee. Anybody who feels that he didn’t got paid in the past and there is something owed to him, he should contact me via email or in this forum, but with full facts and full name. I am ready to discuss any issue in public, I think that this makes it clear once more, how confident we are that everybody is paid what is owed to him.
- “Flying with no duty time regulation” Jetair has been audited by the LBA (German Civil Aviation Authority) in March 2011 for the renewal of the AOC, which was done successfully without limitations. Beginning of August 2011, we have hosted the Civil Aviation inspectors for an audit. Flight duty time limitations have been checked during this visit aswell. Being responsible at the end, I am very confident, that everything is in order with the Flight duty time limitations.

None of tis surprizes me, the rule are always ignord by this company. Presure to fly is very high by the company even when they now its not posible.
But they hav special pilots to do tis work when rules means nuthing.

So D-AKBH never leaves the AOC region without permission??? interesting! watch CFMU guys doesnt matter what a pilot operatoes, he needs honestys from AOC.

I can assure you that the Aircraft has not left the approved ICAO regions.
AOC certificate including all its specifications is on board of the Aircraft, along with the Aircraft Certificates.
It is part of the annual Airworthiness Review that all documents are valid and on board.
You tell us, that you have flown or are flying this Aircraft with not checking the Aircraft documentation ?
I suggest, you substantiate your various allegations, or refrain from such defamation of our company.

There is a long long history of this company not paying on time and not paying at all.
Do some research and you will find that out, too many pilots,FA's ground staff and support staff/companies are owed bundles.
The lawyer they used even went to prison.
That speaks volumes!!!
Now if you would like to trust this company go ahead but don't be surprised if you end up being owed money!!

It is so true, the lawyer that use to be with Jet Air got completely fired as a lawyer and rights taken away by the goverment (google it or pm me and I can give you the details) - now.................. gues what

This must be the first time an Accountable Manager was had the oportunity to be cross examined in open court.

Paybeforefly banned
To be honest, I am a bit disappointed that paybeforefly got banned now, and that I dont have the chance to present the evidence to him, and same important, that he can present his evidence to this forum.
At least, I would like to fulfill my commitment and present tangible evidence.
I kindly ask a few members of this forum to send me their (anonymous) email addresses via PM, so that I can send in return copy of the insurance, AOC regions, movement statistics, tire pressure check forms with release to service documents.
As you can see, I would like to prove a point here, that not always a anonymous person, hiding behind the internet is correct in what he says.
I think ImperialJet and Jetair are companies which operate at the required regulatory standards and aim to do this beyond to reach their internal quality standards. Such companies dont deserve to be defamed like in these posts in past few days. So, everybody has my contact details and my full name and I am available to discuss anything, which is within normal business ethics, like the way to be addressed, to un-mask the identity and to provide supporting documents for allegations.

But my research is pretty simple: There is a company which still has an AOC from an authority that is pretty strict and it's MD who has the balls to come out here vs an unkown one topic pprunner with a problem with these guys (Rightly or wrongly). I agree with Gulfaviatior:

send the bill i have being always paid and now also out but hav found a pofessional company in jetair better than many others, is that the attack on the germans you guys starting ??? they ordered planes for 155 mill usd you think they are saving your 5 dollars for more planes i will return anytime maybe you have not seing any other company and are on the look, use the time applying it helps more
