Bizjets to avoid, non payers, no FTL, no FOM
Iīve been reading on some posts about companies that donīt care about crew conditions, non payers, donīt care about FTLīs, etc. Would be a good idea to tell others in just one post which ones to avoid, why and who to contact to get a first hand opinion. Also could be included those brokers companies that advert crew jobs worldwide but donīt tell you where (like "job in north Africa"...thatīs 3000nm of north africa), Hope it helps everyone.

The reason those crew leasing companies don't advertise where the job is specifically located is because they don't want you or their competitors going straight to the principal. Once you contact the recruiter and likely sign a confidentiality agreement, they will disclose the principal to you. A lot of those areas may only have one or two of a specific type, and it isn't hard to figure out who the operator is if you knew the city or in some cases the country.
It's probably a moot point now, but I would put United Aviation, Libya on the list. I had a number of issues with that operation, but the worst was trying to collect my pay and expenses every month. Like I said, if it turns out that the company survives the revolution, it will likely be under new management.
They also used some pilots from a crew leasing outfit that I had heard nothing good about. However those pilots were paid on time and seemed as content as one could be in that environment. I've since worked with that same crew leasing company and had a very positive experience.
I've also been told by a friend who works in Mumbai to stay away from Jupiter, FWIW.

My advice is stay away from India, period. It will only end in tears. The unions want the expats out and the DGCA have caved in to their demands. All expats are required to pass their stupid medical examination in addition to the licence issuing authority medical.

Feedback on ACASS pay for contract pilots
Hi Gents,
Does anyone have any feedback on ACASS, Canada contract pilot rates, how you were treated, on time payment, trip or travel support ?
It seems that they do not offer to pay fair "market rates" currently being paid for types by JPI, AirCareCrews, etc. Recently they offered a very experienced Gulfstream (G-550) Captain a day rate of $400 for a 3-4 week contract.
