New entrants will generally find that they start out with a trip in the box; generally at this stage they will be in pieces. They might find that they are sprued up a bit, before getting stuck together with their compatriots.
You may find that everything doesn't quite fit as you expected, but persevere and there'll be a reasonable outcome - it's often been found possible to gloss over any shortcomings.
Don't get strung up by the bedroom ceiling thing...
