RAF Chivenor

Does any one know if you can still land a private flight into RAF Chivenor? If so how do I contact them and how much do the RAF charge?

Not possible, in my experience. Spoke to a Major someone or other, and he said no access unless military connection.

Thanks - thought that may be the case. Looks like Exeter is the closest to Ilfracombe then.

Chivenor has not had an active runway since 1994. It has helipads for the SAR but the runway is used for the Marines whose base it is now for training exercises using 4x4 and commandoes engineering.

The grass on the edges is used for gliding but thats about it.
