DHC6 on amphibs

Hello,

I'm looking for hourly operating costs and takeoff / landing #'s for the 300 series DHC-6 on amphibs. Salt and fresh water ops. Performance figures for 100 degree F at 1,000 MSL.

Any one have any thoughts on where to find this info? Conklin & DeDecker only lists info for wheeled twotters..

Thanks in advance

Most of the Twotters in the Maldives are straight floats.

Try Wipaire for performance spec.

Pretty hard to nail operating costs apart from engine overhaul, fuel costs and fixed costs.

Might be cheaper with a 208 amphib- 1 engine and 1 pilot to feed and care for!

That's what I'm trying to figure out, however, without the hard numbers, tough to say if the 208's lower operating cost would outweigh the Twin otters greater passenger capacity... cost per pax / seat mile. etc.
