I fly out of FXE and all I know about Sky Limo is what a couple of my aviation colleagues have told me. They seem very fly by night and kind of shady. A friend of mine who is a dispatcher heard they were in need of a dispatcher so he dropped in to kind of check them out. They wanted to hire him on the spot without an interview and tried to give him a rush trip to South America and have all the planning and arrangements made for departure the next morning. He said it was all very fishy and declined their offer. I also know a mechanic who does contract maintenance for them and he is also very wary of the operation. I don't have any personal experience with them however. Hope this helps.

James Dent

Sky Limo is operating with most of the pilots not properly trained per FAA. James Dent DO and Aaron Hildred Chief Pilot of Sky Limo have been accepting previous 135 training to quickly and inexpensively place pilots on the Sky Limo 135 certificate. With the high turn-over of pilots and lack of funds Sky Limo has been rushing pilots with little or no experience into the fleet.

From AIN:
FAA Draft Notice Clarifies Part 135 Initial Training
The FAA published a draft Notice that proposes to require that FAA inspectors review Part 135 operators' pilot training programs “to identify and correct those programs which erroneously issued credit for previous training or checking.” Operators have been complaining that their FAA inspectors are no longer allowing previous training by new job candidates or temporary (contract) pilots to be used to meet initial training requirements. The big sticking point for operators has been that some FAA inspectors apparently incorrectly allowed credit for previous training, which made it easier for contract pilots to fly for multiple operators. But according to the FAA, “Regulations do not permit the crediting of such training.”

Accepting others 135 training

Sky Limo of KFXE. Today's ad for Beechjet pilots:

"If you are not Part 135 current but have all other requirements, and are willing to pay for training, the company will reimburse you over the period of one year after successfully training."

Sky Limo Air Charter is still accepting other 135 training.
You have a 1 in 40 chance on making it to one year at Sky Limo.
You will be charged for blue and brown pilot (mechanic) shirts with Sky Limo embroidery, cheesy tie, wash and wear blue pants and cheesy wind breaker.

A Sky Limo Hawker Captain recently got a few days off for inappropriately telling a Flight Attendant what he wanted to do to her in a sexually explicit way . This same Captain still has court dates coming for Lude and Licidious with woman in South Florida.
Sky Limo keeps him around because they know they own him and can do what ever they want to him because he can not go anywhere else.

The pilots that are fooled into coming in for Indoc are dropping out at high rates. Ounce they arrive at their expense, they start getting the big picture and cut their losses and leave.

Sky Limo Hawkers

All three Hawker 800A's have been pulled from Sky Limo's Charter Management by the owner of all three aircraft. Seems that the owner has caught on.

Devil Skylimo losing planes, contract fuel, and personel! Sep 2012

I hired on with these guys by the word of a friend of mine. I was deceived from the interview until the day I was released almost a year later. Reluctantly, I paid for my training to be paid back over the course of 26 payments throughout the year. That should've been the first red flag. I really wanted G200 experience. No one spoke any positives about Jim Dent the DO or the management staff while there. People were disrespected as individuals and scream meetings could always be heard when at the office. The company didn't pay for their contract fuel and lost all accounts. Over the pass several months, the money for expenses was normally paid by multiple cc from the CFO. They lost three Hawker 800 and a G200. They were left with only one mid cabin G200. When hired I was told I would fly out of one domicile in SRQ. They started basing the aircraft in FXE. I flew out of SRQ one time over the course of a year. Every other time was a four-hour drive to FXE then back.
The worse thing Skylimo had done was they secretly gave recurrency to a former g200 pilot and the chief pilot. They instructed me to move to FXE within two weeks while this was taking place. I was out on a trip with a week to go. I finally started listening to my intuition. At week three, they let me go. When I asked what the grounds were, the chief pilot said Jim Dent just wanted me and the other pilot gone. Chief pilot said he would write me a letter of recognition, but not to tell any of the others. Lucky for my wife and I, we didn't move. Karma did get it's due. My replacement and chief pilot (only other qual. pilots) got jobs right after the Skylimo paid their recurrency and quit. Skylimo called me to come back immediately! No way will I ever work for them again. I will inform ever pilot that is interested in what to expect.

Do not ever trust Jim Dent or that Snake pit management in place there!

Avantair Avanti's and Sky Limo

Per AIN,
Sky Limo is getting some ex-Avantair Avanti's on their certificate.

The FAA thought Avantair was badly managed and maintained, wait till they get a load of the antics of Sky Limo's poor management, poor maintenance and FAR breaking activities.

Another 135 charter operator giving South Florida a bad name in aviation.
