G20 Airports

Just wondering which airports are being used by the bizjets brining in the G20 politicians?

Is it a combintation of LGW and FAB, considering the Sussex location?

Are helicopters being used to fly between airport and the site?

Thanks.

Do they discuss the Enviroment in this summit meeting? Bit of a joke if they (politicians) are all flying into the UK with a mass fleet of aircraft. Can they not just hold a mass conference call

Horsham

The western edge of Gatwick or perhaps the OM is in Horsham....

I suppose Glasgow would thus be the logical choice.

I was asked to quote for a trip to LGW for the mtg, but was undercut, so stayed at home....

OK. Just wasn't sure if LGW was able to accommodate a lot of extra machinery, and slots are a pain.
I guess it's not yet the busiest time of year though.

Bet there'll be a raft of annoying and inconvenient airpace restrictions. I agree that a conference call would be better all round. As a taxpayer, I'm not keen on footing the security and entertainment bill either...

What does it matter?

Why don't you read the notams for LGW. That will answer your question.

If you've operated into LGW recently (not sure whether you're an operator or a spotter (the latter, one suspects based on the content in this thread...) then you will realise that the airport is extremely quiet at the moment so I’m sure they have a few spare parking spots.

I hope that doesn't over excite you by the way and you are now rest assured.

Several US Mil' heli's were buzzing in & out of Northolt today.

It would appear that Northolt & Heathrow are not to be used over the next week so there isn't the repeat of the chaos of when Bush flew in.

Stansted, Mildenhall, Brize Norton, Luton & Gatwick are all expected to be used for movements. In fact there should have been a NZAF B752 into Brize today according to the flightplans.
