Gosh, military guys???? I hate them.(although there are exceptions)

Have some in the company and they are a p**n in the ass. Always pushing only to gain 2 seconds and think they can afford everything.

Airline pilots seem to have more respect for SOP's but they need to be flexible otherwise i won't work.

Gosh, guys named after a cheese???? I hate them.(although there are exceptions, that guy Gorgonzola isn't a bad sort)

Mate are you for real?

Didn't your mother tell you not to make sweeping generalisations about people based on their race, colour, sexual orientation or employment background......

There are those who made it thru all the tough selection and flew (fly) fast jets and those who didn't!

I'm not wearing this. They will have your bank details to pay you anyway.
Besides, having bank details doesn't entitle withdrawals and that is assuming there are sufficient funds there which there probably won't be as who leaves tens of thousands of Euros in a working current account??? Nah!

job

I don't think anybody will accept this when they start bull@#$% like this...
Even when you are desperate for a job, this is a bad sign what this company is all about.

BTW why did they throw out all the airline guys first? Cant believe they were all bad, were they?

Any more feedback from the interviews?

N.

I met a friend last week who is close to breezy (ex RAF) - "allegedly" they have no owners yet

Let's see:
Nobody has posted anything here to suggest there are any sales to date; the company has been big on PR, boasting about 2000 pilot CV's being received, it has talked of shiny aircraft due, smart liveries, 14 pilots being given contracts, being "ahead of sales expectations", expecting to be flooded with work over Easter, offering travel agencies commission etc., ...but it has chosen not to release one supportive fact that these fractions are actually selling, or at least that cards are being sold aplenty. Strange, that!

If you're actively pumping out PR every month, why not do the one PR statement that would prove that people are opening their wallets, to encourage others that they're missing out by waiting?

After 9 months and over £2m of costs, I guess they must have sold some ...14 crew = 6 aircraft = 36 owners needing to be convinced.

I am sure they will have signed at least 20 by now.

I've said this before and i will say it again. If JB had made sales anywhere near that number he would be bellowing it from the rooftops.

pond-life, you are not taking everything you read here for granted and/or real?

I´d certainly try if I´d be a Learjock, but I would not invest a penny - or in my case - cent before I had hard facts from them...

http://www.privatejetdaily.com/index.php/20090625497/Latest/Jet-Republic-offers-$1million-discount-on-Learjet-60XR.html

50% of the purchase price after 5 years - now that's my kinda depreciation!

Are they banking on their punters not going to do *any* research before buying? Am tired of all this spin now, have they got any sales?

Private jet company offers $1m discount

A UK-based private jet company is slashing prices of its Learjets by $1m (€715,000) as part of a part-ownership buy-back programme, in an attempt to garner interest from cost-focused clients.

Jet Republic is launching the Free to Fly programme, which lets members purchase a brand new Learjet 60 XR in full for a negotiated price of $13.5m compared with $14.6m, as part of a five year buy-back scheme.
The scheme allows 200 flying hours per year without paying hourly fees. After five years, Jet Republic will guarantee to buy back the aircraft from the owner at 50% of the original cost.
This is an estimated annual saving on the operational costs of owning a mid-size jet of $2.1m per year - over a five year period equal to $10.5m, said Jet Republic.

JR offering guarantees! Against what security?? In the event of financial failure, what protects the owner from being stuck with his asset and unable to sell it back to Breezy! Don't tell me the administrators would cough up 50%...

Perhaps someone will post the small print of who's the guarantor
