Has anyone of you gents managed to get a human voice by calling JR's HQ in Lisbon? Tried a while ago with no joy, just answering machine...

Any acknowledgment that your CV has been received and put on file?

Best luck

Jet Republic aims to lure 'working-class millionaires' to business aviation

A black jet - that'll be nice and cool inside if the apu fails

Is that a real aircraft or a computer mock-up? No point getting all het up over a cartoon if it's the latter.

'US$1m/day by 2010' with deliveries only starting in October 09 in overheated black aircraft that need a minimum 6,000ft runway to operate that will have depreciated 30-40% the day of delivery - how many clients signed up today?

Oh yes, in a global financial meltdown....

And then I do not think that you should offer a biz jet with a u/s APU to a well paying customer. Might be the last time you see him aboard your aircraft.
Not much of an issue on the Lear-60/60XR. The APU only turns a generator and does not provide conditioned air as PACK does. A GPU (if available) can easily substitute for an inop APU and operate the Freon Air Conditioner. Just more hassle for the crew and ground staff, not for the passengers.

Actually if you donīt have APU you donīt need GPU, start engine2 with batts and it will be less noisy than the APU at only 200lbs/hour, just double from APU, that simple and common use. The LJ60 itīs a great aircraft if you treat it well and, on some T/O, you have to derate the power at 400ft because lots of pax donīt like that much rate of climb.

The stand looked good, but what should be good first are the employees and management.

It appears that JB wants to break Ebace's black/dark suit dress code, wearing jeans, and without a tie. Looks like a carefully studied Steve Jobs / Sergio Marchionne icon model. Will it make the difference?

I also wonder if he/they named Jet Republic after a dinner at Spice Republic next to the Aviator hotel in FAB (restaurant which opened 3 months before JR was launched).

CTC did do a round of recruitment for Club 328 Citation pilots. That was a year and a half ago now, before 328 went pop !

Are JR still planning on such a large fleet of Lears? With NJ parking up aircraft, is there a market for such a large operation based in Portugal (at all)...

Both companies being in Portugal isn't really relevant as that's only their base of operations. Aircraft don't/won't have bases, JR seem to be operating a gateway system similar to NJE's.
