I have heard the CEO on CNBC Europe some weeks ago. He was, of course very upbeat.
It will be interesting to see what happens.
It is hard to believe that they haven't found a customer yet.

I spoke to them a while ago - at that time: some interviews in spring and start flying in October 2009. Rumors are that they failed to sell any shares at all so far - must be uphill then, if trying to sell 110 aircrafts.
If there is any connection between Jet Republic and Bombardier - aga Flexjet or whatever its called now a days, it might catch on.
I know that VistaJet has approximately same numbers in order and same type.
Find it hard to belive there is no connection between Bombardier, Jet Republic and Vista.

There are no ties between the 3 parties you talk about. VistaJet are currently Bombardiers largest customer, and will continue to be so as they have the full range, and not just the 60. Indeed they will also be a significant customer for the 85, assuming it is still going to be built.
More importantly VistaJet are a business that has been trading successfully for over 6 years, and who's guaranteed availability product is available from Shannon to Beijing, and not limited to Europe, and outside of this product their on demand product continues to be very well received.
Times are tough everywhere and there may be consolidation but lets see if Jet Republic go from vapourware to real product before we talk about consolidation.
Hop this helps

P.S. It's no secret that I work for VistaJet.

Avianation are carrying several ads for JR, looking for DFO etc.
Have they not filled these posts already ? Is it so difficult to find the right people when there are lots of the great unemployed wandering about out there ?

FYI
Expect an article on the company in Flight International in March.
There will be an advert published in the same issue for pilots.
First A/C arrives Sep 09 with roughly 1 new hull per month from then on.

Maybe, just maybe they are looking for a new angle in the aviation industry that none of us have thought of yet! JB is a clever sausage after all. I think they intend use the Learjets as a mobile coffee shops, just park them up and let people wander in for the worlds best expresso. Tunnocks caramel wafers, chocolate marshmallow biscuits, the possibilities are endless.
