I'm surprised either of you are up at all today - how was the after party "show"?

little did I know that's where I was being dragged off to....

I still have a banging headache. It was good to see you again. If you have a party at EBACE don;t invite me, I'll only wake up with another headache.

EBACE Hotel

My CEO from the US has just decided he wants to come along to EBACE. Don't much fancy topping and tailing with him and have tried all the places mentioned above along with many others. Unsuprisingly with no success

Looking for a room from 19th for three nights. Anyone got any rooms booked they're not going to use - or know of a good campsite in the area?

Check in nearby France

Hilton Evian, France is fully booked, but you may find other nice hotels available in this city. Expect 50 min driving time to GVA.

Annecy is also a lovely city with.

Airport Geneva: 58 km/36 miles and approx. 45 minutes drive.

select english language and good luck!

EBACE Hotels

There were some rooms in Lausanne a while ago, and being a bit of a railway anorak, I did find out that you could get there by train direct from Gva Airport station. Journey time c30 mins.

Good luck in Geneva, there doesn't seem to be anything there at all.

Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated. Managed to get a room in Annecy (although I'd put money on it ending up not being the bossman who has to commute in every day!). Seems like Lausanne is booked up as well now.

Hi Phil

Geneva is for losers !

Take the train (or hire car) and stay in Montreux (away from all the riff raff).
Suggest the Montreux Palace in Montreux, or if you fancy an unforgettable view, try Hotel Victoria in Glion (train to Territet - funiculaire to Glion). you won't regret it. http://www.victoria-glion.ch/

I called Expedia, they found me a hotel downtown, the Cornavin, no idea what it is like.

Stayed in the Cornavin a couple of years ago, it's fine for a place to sleep - no bar or restaurant as I recall but clean and spacious rooms. There's a great big clock in the lobby that is the tallest pendulum clock in Europe, or Switzerland, or something like that. It's right next to Geneva station so it's easy to get the train out to the airport and walk through to Palexpo.

No Bar? Why would anyone build a hotel without a Bar?

I guess this is what the topic is all about...
Phil, why would you need a bar in the cornavin hotel while you have so many nice spots out of it?
