how cheap can you go??
To what lengths does your owner/operator expect you to go to save them a few cents?
A couple of gems from our operation!!
1. Transfer all following items from hotel to aircraft:
complimentary water, sachets of sugar/coffee/tea bags, laundry bags (for garbage) and flannels (for a/c cleaning).
2. Walk or take public transport + luggage to airport.

I feel sorry for you.
Taking the lead from the LCC by the looks of it.
I think when you need to take sugar sachets from the hotel it's time to start looking for a new employer...
Walking is good for you anyway.

PL it sounds like you work for my last boss. He also expected co-pilots to clean the aircraft on their days off, buy their own uniforms, pay for their own training, pay for their own medicals, along with anything else he thought he could get away with! Still, I moved on and so should you!

I believe he is ordering B738's with all the reclining gear taken out of the seats, fixed upright, and no window blinds. All that extra weight saved, cuts the fuel burn.

loooong haul, there is no other way
It is the only way to read FI. Just go to WHS at a shopping mall, or as we prefer to call them AIRPORT, and see the guys with 3 rings, they always start from the back.
Have you notice that some jobs are not now on the web site, until well after print publication date, and some never go electronic. Is this to ensure more browsing in WHS. ?
In fact I have not started from the front for so long I think I am arabic. lol.
I heard that the crew are visiting airport loos, and borrowing rolls of toilet paper. Not certain why.

Another for your amusement; Why buy magazines when you can pick them up from hotel lobbies/FBO's/Airshows and then keep for 5 years?

Don't know about the window blinds but I travelled on what looked like a shiny newish 738 from Ancona on Sunday and sure enough no reclining seat!
The National Express coach from Stanstead had very comfortable reclining seats by comparison although on a per mile basis Ryanair's fare was half that of NC!
