how many hours per annum, what base, how many crewq, any hours sold of commercially with bonus to the management company, what rules, does the management company charge percentage on the third party cost, etc etc... so the answer is anywhere between $ 0 (serious) and $ 55.000 per month depending on the contract....

Thank you,
Good ideas and again thanks for the info. This was not a case in question just an idea. Have been aware that people will manage admin and get freelance crew in to fly it, but I was just curious.
Freelance crew and operated for private use throughout europe, say average 250 hours per year. Based within europe. So how much then just to look after the management paperwork Areads / jepps so on ?
thanks

We used to operate our G V as a private N operation but now are on a managed commercial JAA AOC. Part time crew has different qualities and depends cosat wise whether they are trained by you or do it direct at FSI or CAE. Salaries? Getting better and better from a pilots perspectice as the market is heating up. For an Excel guy roughly 500euro per day ex expenses.
We used to pay a fixed management fee per month for the AOC and do everything ourselves, maintenance, planning etc and pay only a paperwork fee. This means that we had the burden of a full management and a seperate AOC charge. As we are a vendor to a third party for their back up we have changed all that so it is easier to see who is responsible. The first set up was easier (cheaper) but the second is better as the postholder has real control..
what are you thinking of?

Looooong haul,
Thanks for the quick response. You have answered most of the questions. Like I mention nothing in mind per say , just I am curious at the fee and what they do for there money.
Plane I fly now is private ownership under a management company but as a crew (freelance) we seem to end up doing the updates and flight plans and catering and cleaning etc.... So got me thinking what the hell do management companies do and how much they charge ??
But thanks again

If you are operating one private jet the chances are that the Pilot will be expected to deal with the day to day running and that should be negotiated in the Pilots fee.
If you are operating a group of aircraft then a management fee could be added.
Really it is so fluid but supply and demand will dictate.
Many company owners who operate more than one aircraft have an operating company with the pilots hired as a seperate thing.
Many companies do not want to be seen to own the aircraft and lease back.
There really are so many variations

the minimum you end up paying is for supplying an AOC usually 5 to 10K for a small a/c. Nothing added. Fun part is that the guy whoi just bought a 40mil a/c does not want to pay a thing for management hence you are updating the book... Management does not mean service
