Farnborough Airport sold to Macquarie

Well, Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) to be precise. Wonder what changes this might entail, if any, after twenty years under TAG's stewardship?

Will eventually pick up most of Luton’s biz jet traffic in the years to come particularly if Farnborough goes 24/7.

Gulfstream can see the writing on the wall and will move in to their new hangar and base next year from Luton.

Farnborough 24/7? No way, I do not think that people who live around the airport and its approach/departure paths will approve it or just swallow this bitter pill.

Execujet now looking for a new base as they have to move out of CBG so FAB seems a logical choice. Give TAG a run for their money...

Doesn't Maquarie own Atlantic Aviation? I'd assume the fbo becomes Atlantic Aviation, but my wife tells me I've actually been wrong before. I'm a jet pilot so I can't possibly be wrong.

one of the original conditions of sale between the government and TAG was that the airshow had to be held every 2 years (no brainer anyway)

I wonder if this clause will still exist

Yes, they do as AGS.
Will be interesting to see how they push for the extension at SOU - vested interests in having two major GA facilities a few clicks apart on the M3?
Of bloody course.
