Great stuff - not so much "What's Up, Doc?" as "What's Up? Doc!":ok:

Great to see the aircraft fly, but the video link was abysmal - frequently causing FireFox to crash.

All those puerile tw@tter comments on YoofTube were rather irritating though...

The best use I've had for two screens on my PC!

The Youtube feed on one and Flight Radar 24 on the other.

One thing that I winced at, when the 1st T/O was aborted because the bomb bay doors wouldn't close, the A/C came close to a camera, and stopped the engines while the bomb bay doors were closed.

Then re-started the engines, without a single fire extinguisher in sight!

I knew many Crew Chiefs that would have had a heart attack at that.

For those who missed it, the Wichita Eagle has a piece that includes an interview with one of the instigators of Doc's rescue from China Lake. The whole webcast is also available on the http://www.b-29doc.com/firstflight/ website.
Hope my typo didn't stop people from seeing the flight - with all the delays it was about right!
