Airstrip, The Lizard, Cornwall

Hi all

Has anyone knowledge where at The Lizard / Caer Mellin, Cornwall a strip belonging to Lord Semphill was.

I understand that he flew a Puss Moth G-ABJU from there in the 1930's

Martin, sorry can't help with that one, but do you have a lat and long for an airstrip at Warlingham in Surrey? Various aircraft were based there between the wars and it is probably a couple of miles from where I live. There is another strip at Warlingham bu I think it is only used for parascending.

Regards

Julian

I can't remember where but in the 50s & 60s there was what appeared to be the remants of a military camp and possibly a light strip somewhere. It was on the west side of a north south road, midway between Culdrose and Lizard town? or perhaps in the Goonhilly area?
