Bill Agus an Spitfire

Thirty minute or so TV programme from the ever excellent BBC Alba.

Ex BA pilot Bill McInnes talks a bit about his early life and flying the line from Rapides to the 767. He then takes a trip in a Spitfire at age 90+. Gaelic language with English subtitles:

Bill Innes - his autobiography Flight From the Croft is an excellent read.

Unfortunately, I can't watch the video as I've ditched my tele licence!

Watched the programme the other evening and thoroughly enjoyed it, perhaps because I first met Bill in 1971 at Heston. It was a gentle walk through a career which many of us can identify with in our own way. Good to have English subtitles for us Lowlanders.
